General
Explosive Power (nor any of its employees or coaches) is not engaged in providing medical advice, nor does it hold itself out as qualified to do so.
Explosive Power strongly recommends that you seek appropriate professional medical advice before beginning any new exercise, strength or conditioning programme, particularly if you have an existing medical condition, injury or other health concern.
Any form of physical activity, including strength training, weightlifting and Olympic lifting, carries an inherent risk of injury. You have a responsibility to exercise within your own capabilities and to use your personal judgement when undertaking any exercise or physical activity.
You should stop exercising and seek appropriate professional advice if you experience pain, illness, dizziness, unusual shortness of breath or any other symptoms that cause you concern.
The Explosive Power Programme
Where we provide you with a personally tailored strength and conditioning programme, the information and exercises contained within it should not be regarded as or relied upon as a comprehensive medical, health or exercise programme.
Any programme or training recommendations will be prepared based on the information you provide to us. You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide is accurate and complete, and for informing us of any relevant health conditions, injuries, medical restrictions or changes in your circumstances.
You are responsible for informing Explosive Power of any injury, illness, medical condition or other circumstance that may affect your ability to safely participate in physical activity or perform particular exercises.
You should not undertake any exercise or training that you have been advised by a suitably qualified medical or healthcare professional to avoid.
Your training programme may include resistance training, free weights, Olympic lifting movements, explosive exercises and the use of gym equipment. You are responsible for following the coaching and safety instructions provided and for using equipment appropriately.
Exercises and training recommendations are provided for the individual and circumstances for which they have been prescribed. You should not assume that a programme or exercise is suitable for another person or for you if your circumstances subsequently change.
If your health, fitness, injury status or circumstances change during your programme, you should inform Explosive Power before continuing with any training that may be affected.
Training and Safety
Strength and conditioning training is designed to challenge you and help you develop greater strength, power, speed and physical capability. However, training should always be undertaken progressively and within your individual capabilities.
You are responsible for following the instructions provided by your coach during coached sessions and for applying appropriate care and judgement when completing any additional training independently.
Where exercises involve technically demanding movements, including Olympic lifts and their derivatives, these should only be performed in accordance with the instruction and progression provided by your coach.
Expected Results
While we believe that following the Explosive Power programme can help you develop greater strength, power, fitness and athletic performance, results depend on the individual.
Your results will be influenced by factors including your effort, consistency, training history, recovery, nutrition, lifestyle, genetics and the demands of your chosen sport.
Even where an individual follows the programme as prescribed, there is no guarantee that they will achieve a particular personal best, competition result, body composition change or other desired outcome.
We therefore provide no warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to the effectiveness of any particular exercise, training method or programme, or the results that you may achieve as a result of following the Explosive Power programme.
